Benefits of CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is a fat reduction treatment that has many benefits including:
Eliminates stubborn fat on many areas of the body, including the chin, jawline, back, upper arms, abdomen, flanks, thighs, and more
Is a fast and painless fat freezing procedure
Requires no recovery time
How Does CoolSculpting® Work?
CoolSculpting is an advanced FDA-cleared technique to eliminate stubborn pockets of fat in a range of areas on the body.1 During treatment, an applicator is placed on the treatment area for roughly one hour, during this time most patients experience relatively no discomfort. Most patients work on a laptop, listen to music, watch television, or simply relax during their treatment sessions.
CoolSculpting relies on Cryolipolysis™, a cooling technology that targets and destroys fat cells. Cryolipolysis only targets fat cells, leaving skin and other surrounding tissue unharmed. Following the procedure, the body will gradually eliminate fat cells in the targeted area over a period of time. This occurs naturally through a metabolic process similar to your body eliminating fat from the food you eat.

Is CoolSculpting Right for You?
Certain fatty deposits on the body are often resistant to even the most healthy diets and strenuous exercise regimens. If you are troubled by stubborn pockets of fat and do not wish to undergo surgery, CoolSculpting may be a good option for you. Since we offer both CoolSculpting and liposuction at our practice, we have the knowledge and experience to recommend the ideal treatment for your needs.
CoolSculpting Results
Fat reduction from CoolSculpting procedures generally become apparent within two to four months for most patients, and results are typically expected to last as long as liposuction. After just one treatment, this innovative treatment can often reduce up to 25% of fatty tissue located in treated areas with little to no downtime, so you can typically expect to return to your normal routine immediately afterward.2 For the most effective results, CoolSculpting treatments may need to be repeated on certain areas of your body.

FAQs About CoolSculpting
Is CoolSculpting a weight loss alternative?
No. Men and women considering CoolSculpting should be at a healthy stable weight and have concerns with specific bulges of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.
Does CoolSculpting have any possible side effects?
Following a CoolSculpting procedure, common side effects can include temporary swelling, redness, bruising, blanching, and firmness. In addition, a tingling sensation as well as itching, stinging, tenderness, or skin sensitivity is also normal and usually resolves on its own.3
How many CoolSculpting treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends on your anatomy and needs, however, multiple sessions typically yield more significant results.4 During your initial consultation, we’ll discuss your cosmetic goals, determine if you’re a good candidate and provide you with a personalized treatment plan.
Are CoolSculpting results permanent?
CoolSculpting is a fat reduction procedure that destroys fat but cannot prevent new fat from forming. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will ensure that CoolSculpting results are long-lasting.
