We are proud to announce that Dr. Louis P. Bucky will be performing live facelift surgery before hundreds of attendees at the 51st annual Baker Gordon Symposium! The demonstration is scheduled for 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 9th, and the technique he will be showcasing is a tumescent facelift with extended SMAS dissection—an approach that has proved to yield exceptional results for numerous patients seeking facial rejuvenation at his practice.
Dr. Bucky is not a stranger to conducting facelift surgery live in front of a plastic surgeon-based audience; he had the privilege of doing so in 2015 when he was asked to perform a tumescent facelift procedure at the 49th annual Baker Gordon Symposium. “I am excited and humbled to perform this live operation again at such an esteemed conference,” he says. “The tumescent facelift is one of my favorites to perform, as I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact and improvement this procedure has on patients’ recovery and outcomes.”
The 2017 Baker Gordon Symposium will mark the 24th consecutive year that Dr. Bucky has attended this esteemed conference, and he considers being asked to perform live surgery in front of his peers one of the highest honors of his medical career. In regard to the potential impact he hopes to have on his audience, he states: “Peer to peer education is an incredible asset in the field of plastic surgery. I hope that my fellow plastic surgeons will take away a better affinity and understanding for this procedure that maximizes patient results and minimizes patient recovery time.”
